Originally from the Seattle area, now living in the Boston area. Also available in suede.
Vincent LaBate
(writer and letterer)
Kitty Hawk is written by a small paper automaton, crafted by a team of origami masters out of a heavily edited copy of the Oxford English Dictionary and an Arby’s menu. This enterprise cost over thirteen billion dollars and is generally considered to have been extremely wasteful.
When not writing or applying letters to the comic, the unit takes classes at the University of Massachusetts and enjoys watching sumo wrestling. A weblog is maintained at the Elephant on its behalf.

If you’ve got a favorite site we should be on, drop us a line!
Q: Hey, why don’t you have any stuff in your FAQ?
A: Well, in order to have a functional Frequently Asked Questions page, questions must first be asked, frequently. Fear not, reader–over time, as questions become frequent rather than, say, occasional or sometime, this page will from from an Acorn of Obscurity to a Mighty Oak of Inquiry, dropping Golden Leaves of Enlightenment during the cool Autumn of, uh, Askitude . Until then, reader, why not ask some questions yourself?
Kitty Hawk is produced in association with Rare Earth Comics.
